WP-Glory site is an online learning community. Over the coming weeks and months, I’ll be adding a great deal more content and resources around Wordpress theme design and development (including XHTML and CSS). Some of this content will be accessible only with a paid membership (price yet to be determined). Although I haven’t sorted out the details yet, there will be additional member benefits besides access to premium content.

The Man Behind the Curtain

Hello. I’m Michael Pollock, CEO of Solostream and creator of WP-Glory. I have more than a decade of small business sales, marketing and management experience in both offline and online environments. After launching my first online business in 1999, a business coaching practice, I taught myself graphic design and web development, as well as copywriting and web marketing. During that same time I also held a full-time sales position with a family-owned RV dealership in northeastern Connecticut.

In late 2004, I began to focus heavily on the topic of small business branding when I lauched the Small Business Branding blog. SBB grew in popularity and was later cited by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the “cream of the crop” marketing blogs. I sold the Small Business Branding blog in late 2005 to focus on launching Solostream.

A native of central Ohio, I now reside in northeastern Connecticut, having been transplanted there in 1987 during my eight years in the U.S. Navy. I’m now officially a New Englander with a die-hard love for the Boston Red Sox, fresh lobster and a good debate. I’m also the proud father of Haley, a bright, horse-loving, 14-year-old girl with whom I spend much of my free time.
